About Us
Since 1988, the United Montessori Association has been providing Montessori independent study through distance learning. For more than a decade, UMA has utilized the internet to deliver premier Montessori training and services online. UMA offers “anytime, anywhere” education to students worldwide.
UMA maintains a deep commitment to preserving the original tenets of the Montessori method as created by Dr. Montessori, and to the success of each student in training. By upholding the true principles of Montessori education, our goal is to educate the adult in:
- Cultivating the child's natural desire to learn
- Developing the child's own unique potential
- Guiding the child in becoming a confident, compassionate, and productive individual in society
To fill a vital need to significant segments of the population who are unable to attend on-site classroom sessions, due to personal circumstances (job, family, location…). Together, we work toward a future in which every generation shares:
