The United Montessori Association offers a 12-month, comprehensive Montessori
online training for the primary age level (3-6 years old). Graduates
are awarded a Montessori Teaching Certificate recognized in the United
States and worldwide.Students receive a thorough understanding of
the adult-child relationship as well as a complete knowledge of the physical
layout and operation of a Montessori classroom.
Since 1988, independent study through correspondence has been an integral
part of UMA’s educational mission of outreach. Distance learning allows
students to achieve their Montessori teacher training without time or geographic
constraints. UMA alumnae from all over the globe have found enriching
careers in the field of Montessori education, as well as lifetime personal
fulfillment.
